Everett Farmer Road is a short dead-end road running northeast from Boston Road in the south part of town, a little beyond Webb Brook Road, into land that belonged to the Farmer family. Its line first appears as an unnamed 40-foot strip between two house lots on a plan of land "belonging to Mrs. Bertha Farmer et al." surveyed by E. P. Simpson on April 18, 1948 (Plan Book 73, Plan 59, recorded August 9, 1948). A "Plan of Land in Billerica Surveyed for J. E. Farmer" by J. B. Monahan, registered land surveyor, in January 1950 (Plan Book 77, Plan 16, recorded February 9, 1950) marked it "Proposed Street" and laid out lots D to J along it, against land of Hurley and Pasho. The assessors date the oldest house on it to about 1946.

J. Everett Farmer (James Everett Farmer) owned a large tract on the east side of Boston Road between the land of Hurley and Webb Brook Road; at his petition the town meeting of February 8, 1947 rezoned it from residence to business by a rising vote of 151 to 9, against the advice of the Planning Board. The street was known as Everett Road. Because the town also had an Everett Street at Nuttings Lake, the selectmen renamed it Everett Farmer Road, "First left off Boston Road beyond Webb Brook Road," by a vote of September 12, 1988 that took effect on November 15, 1988; the Nuttings Lake street became Rocky Ledge Lane in the same vote.

The town accepted the road at the annual fall town meeting of October 5, 2021. Under Article 42 the meeting voted 172 to 8 to accept as public ways "Everett Farmer Road, from Boston Road to dead end, approximate length 590' and 40' width right of way," as shown on the "Plan & Profile Everett Farmer Road" of April 24, 2020 by Lighthouse Land Surveying (Engineering Division Plan B-5-44), together with Farmers Lane and other private streets.
